From the moment I walked into Cantinho da Maya, I felt a little closer to Brazil. The warmth of the team, the cozy atmosphere, and the delicious smell of home-cooked food made it an unforgettable experience. The flavors were authentic, comforting, and clearly made with love – especially the FEIJOADA . It brought back memories and created new ones at the same time. What stood out the most was the genuine hospitality. You don’t just eat at Cantinho da Maya – you feel welcomed. It’s the kind of place that feeds both your body and soul. Very nice food at a reasonable price. Presentation is also great. The service is really good, although it took loo long for the food to arrive. It’s a simple but really nice place. I’ll definitely come back.

I went here one Saturday with a friend after he scouted Brazilian places to eat in the area. And we weren't to be disappointed! I went for one of the All Day Meals, the Mixed Meat dish to be exact for 15...and it was everything I wanted from a meat platter! It was perfect! The rump steak was cooked medium rare and very tasty. The chicken chicken fillets were flavoursome and tender and along with the chicken hearts...well I could have eaten more of them! So good! The sausage was on point also. The marinade on the meats was lovely, too. Along with all the meat, there was rice, cassava fries, russian salad, beans in sauce, farofa (powdered toasted cassava), and a perfectly cooked fried egg on top! This whole dish was a dream! I pushed the boat out and also got some fried banana on the side for 3.50, which was also very good and complemented the salty elements of the dish well. So, an easy 5 stars...this place is great value for money, the staff friendly and welcoming...and the food speaks for itself. I will definitely be going back for more! If you like Brazilian food, then this is worth the visit! ;D

I was surprised about this mini bar/restaurant, their portion size are excellent and have a variety of dishes. They are very meaty heavy, the dishes have minimal amount salad therefore their balance could be improved. (You could also order salad on the side). My favourite part were the staff, they are very welcoming and friendly. The servers felt genuine and happy to help. Their burgers are really good! Large and full of flavour. We had the large boat for 2 which was in a large portion however, the salad served alongside the boat was a small cup- a bit larger than a shots glass. With a bigger size, the meal would be a balanced combination. Ratings- 4 to 5 stars. #supportinglocals

Amazing choice of freshly made Brazilian food. I used to live in Bermondsey so it was our local food place. They also have great offer each day - meal of a day, amazing mix grilled foods, very nice deserts, and good choice of drinks. The staff was very friendly and helpful every time I went there and I tried most of the dishes and they were all really nice. Big portions so if you are hungry and want to get value for money that’s the right destination to go. It’s not too far from the local market and library, so if you doing a bit of shopping and just had exhausting study session in library it’s nice place to be and experience authentic Brazilian vibes.
